Great to have this important book available. John Paget was a Puritan minister who served the exiled and expatriate English Reformed community in Amsterdam in the early 17th century. This defence of the Presbyterian polity was published posthumously and prefaced by his brother Thomas (though possibly prepared for publication by his widow, Bridget) as a means of concentrating and stimulating discussion in the Long Parliament and formally presented to the MPs. As such, it is off enormous historical importance: crucial for anyone interested in Puritanism, Dissent, the English Civil War and how they are all connected. A very rare item, I was amazed and pleased to find it available for free at Internet Archive.
